"Tracks for Change" is a compilation CD that I have put together to help New Orleans musicians that have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. It is one of several Art for Fire projects (the fundraising group Olivia Williams and I have started for various causes).
I asked many musicians to donate songs, and got so many wonderful submissions. This CD is a sampling of up-and-coming artists from around the country (and even one from Australia!), and has a variety that will appeal to everyone.
Proceeds from this album will go to "Sweet Home New Orleans", a NOLA non-profit that helps displaced musicians get back home. They help with funding for living costs, or even development of new musical endeavors. This is so important, because music is such a huge part of the culture there.
