The Georgetown Mural was painted in the spring of 2022 and is along route 107 in Georgetown.
Georgetown Village Restoration, Inc. put out a call for entries for a mural design contest. This design was selected and work began in May 2022. It features images special to the history of Georgetown, such as famous local resident, Mark Twain, the very first Georgetown Market, located behind him, the 1955 flood line, the historic Granite Church and Gilbert and Bennet Wire Mill, and the local fire department truck. The mural encourages people to come and visit this special little village, and celebrate its unique history.
